In 1992, at the absolute peak of his cinematic career, he made the profound decision to leave the entertainment industry entirely. He joined the Bihar School of Yoga in Munger, Bihar, dedicating his life to becoming a yoga preacher and adopting the name Swami Nitya Chaitanya.
