Julien began his career in 2011 with the short film channel JuBaFilms before launching his own YouTube channel, "Julien Bam," in 2012. On this channel, he released videos featuring dance, music, comedy, and action, often incorporating special effects. With over 5.7 million subscribers, he is one of the most successful German YouTubers.
Julien has received multiple awards, including the 1 Live Krone for the video "Most Epic Dance-Moves" (2015) and the "Person of the Year Male" award at the German Web Video Awards (2016). He also served as a jury member on ProSieben's show "Masters of Dance" (2018/2019) and provided voice work for characters in films such as Despicable Me 3 (2017) and Sonic the Hedgehog (2020).
In addition to YouTube, Julien is active on Twitch and runs several other YouTube channels, including "Bulien Jam" and "JUcktmichnicht." His brother, Shawn Bu, is also a web video producer.
