Zach is known for undertaking dangerous pursuits safely as a licensed pilot, skydiver, and rescue scuba diver.
He is the author of Sufferless: The Science & Philosophy of Reducing Suffering (2026) and the founder of The Sufferless Foundation, dedicated to transforming the book's ideas into measurable reductions of suffering worldwide.
Zach began his filmmaking career as a child actor in film and television. His appearance in ER (Season 2, Episode 7: "Hell and High Water")-starring opposite George Clooney-earned an Emmy nomination. At thirteen, he stepped away from acting to focus on his education, later graduating from USC in 2012.
